I Love Lucy Season 6 Episod 6 Off To florida

In this episode, Lucy decides to plan her trip to Florida once again.  This time, she actually succeeds and gets to go to florida.  Given that she re-plans her trip says a lot about her.  For example, it tells me that she is not willing to give up on something and be influenced by someone else.  When I saw this it made her seem sort of like a friend and mentor.  I would call her my friend, because she matches my personality of not giving up on something she wants.  If I was in her place, I would probabbly do the same thing.  On the other hand, she is like a mentor to me parasocially and socially if we actually knew each other.  However, since this is only a parasocial relationship, seeing her on TV leaves me with the ipression that giving up is not the right thing to do.  She has taught me that if you don't get something immediately, it will come eventually.

 

When Lucy finally plans her Florida trip, she gets very excited.  This behavior keeps us as friends because I too would be excited by something I had planned.  I admire her for this trait because it shows enthusiasm.  However, the only trait I don't admire is her arguing in this episode.  I feel this way because arguing is sometimes nonsensical and it sometimes just goes on and on.  When you combine nonsense and excessive arguing, it gets very annoying for other people.

 

After watching this episode, I have a couple warnings ed a couple of positive critiques for Lucy.  One of the biggest warnings I would give her is to try and minimize arguing when there isn't a good reason for it.  However, I think that arguing is sometimes okay if it is short lived and calm.  Another warning I would give Lucy is not being overconfident.  When a person is overconfident, bad things can happen to them.  Plaus, it makes others feel like their advice is useless.

 

On the other hand, I would give Lucy a big compliment for not giving up on her plan to go to Florida.  As I said before, this shows that someone is willing to keep trying and is not about to give up.  It also shows that they understand that although sometimes you don't get what they want immediately, they will get it eventually.  I could actually advise Lucy with my own personal experience in addition to this episode.  I predict that when Lucy gets to Florida, she will have a really good time and have lots of fun activities.  I feel this way, because Florida has a lot to offer when it comes to activities.
